Consuelo Mendoza

Consuelo Romo Mendoza, who went by CiCi to all of us, passed away peacefully on May 7,2024 at the age of 79; born on August 17, 1944 in Rosenberg, Texas, Cici was the daughter of Senovia and Salomen Romo.

She was a caring and loving woman who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She grew up in The Heights part of Houston and attended St. Joseph Catholic School, where she excelled and formed lifelong friendships. Consuelo is survived by her two children: Abel N Mendoza Jr. and Paul Mendoza Sr.; grandchildren: Abel N. Mendoza III, Andres A. Mendoza, Paul A. Mendoza Jr., and Amanda L. Mendoza.

Her legacy lives on through the love and memories she shared with each of them. The family would like to thank Mr. Ignacio Del Rio and his family for being there for CiCi for 30+ years of her life. We can begin to tell you how much it meant to CiCi and to her family how much you stood by her and took care of her. In addition, a special thanks to the pallbearers, Andres A. Mendoza, Paul Mendoza Jr., Alejandro Del Rio, Jesse Del Rio, Michael A. Mendoza, Erik J. Romo.

A visitation for Consuelo will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, Texas 77087. A prayer service will occur Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A committal service will occur Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
