Ted was born on April 12, 1929 to Clifford and Mita Seiter in Wilmington, North Carolina. Shortly after his birth, his father and mother packed up the family and moved to Houston Texas, where his (6) brothers and (2) sisters were born. It was there, Ted grew up, finished school, and went on to serve in the Army National guard. After returning home, Ted met Elrose Smikel, with whom he married and had (3) children of his own; however, the marriage ended in divorce and Ted never remarried.
Ted was a hard-working, fun-loving country boy who loved boating, waterskiing, fast cars and hunting, in addition to his family, and he built boats and worked on cars in his spare time. Ted was a machinist by trade and could operate any kind of machine, which is why he owned and operated his own machine shop, as well as the only full-service gas station in town. Ted worked well into his 70's, and lived in the Houston area until his death on July 6, 2018 at the distinguished age of 89.
