Claudia was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt, cousin, and friend. Claudia lost her mom at the young age of one and was raised by her siblings and her dad. She had a difficult life and grew up fast but she never lost faith or her resiliency for living. She was a bright student who graduated as the Valedictorian of her high school class. She was vibrant and resourceful; working hard at a young age. She went on to graduate from the University of Houston with a bachelor's in elementary education. Claudia taught as an elementary teacher for twenty years. She positively impacted the lives of hundreds of students with her passion for teaching. She loved teaching and connected with her students by getting to know them, and being herself around them.
Claudia was known as a faithful daughter of Christ, being baptized at the age of 12. Claudia cared for others, and was involved in multiple ministries throughout her life, bringing others to know Christ. She shared her gifts freely, involving herself in everything from Sunday School, to Prayer Meetings, to Prison Ministry and Youth and Ladies Auxiliary. She also lived abundantly because she knew how to laugh and make others laugh easily. Claudia lived her life as an example of faith and work. She passed on her love for God to her son Nicholas and was an exemplary mother to the very end. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered by everyone who knew her. Her life is a legacy of love and selflessness.
