Clara was born May 29, 1932 in Tennessee. She lived most of her years in Houston Texas. She spent many years working in the retail industry, the businesses including Houston Jewelry, Hallmark, and eventually J.C. Penney, where she retired from. Clara enjoyed working with jigsaw puzzles and collecting gnome figurines. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and was always willing to offer help when needed.
Clara Mae Pavatte was preceded in death by her husband Randall (Bill) Pavatte, her brothers Robert, Walter, and Porter Ragan, and sister Lucille Gordon. She is survived by her daughter Connie Lynn Pavatte of Houston and her son Randy Pavatte of Houston.
Clara was a truly extraordinary person, mother, and friend, who lived a full, eventful life and left the world a better place because of her time in it.
The Pavatte family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at HCA Houston Healthcare West for taking great care of her in her final days of life.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77079.
A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at the address given above.
