Christopher Rodriguez brought joy, love, and laughter to all who knew him. Born in Houston, TX, on November 16, 1998, he passed away on November 23, 2024. He is now reunited in Heaven with
his beloved younger brother, Joshua, a bond that endures. From a young age, Chris was passionate about sports, starting with baseball and soccer before discovering his true love for football. Known as "C-Rod, " he led his middle school team, The Outlaws, to a state championship and excelled as a Westfield
Mustang in high school. His talent earned him opportunities to play at Hastings College and Howard Payne University.
After college, Chris explored a passion for restoring motorcycles, and his creativity shone when he won first place for “The Cleanest Bike in the City” with his bike, Tony Stark.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Yvette and Anthony Vela, and Nancy Cervantes; his siblings, Arianna Salinas, Maria Hernandez, Alexis Alonzo, Genevieve Rivera, Joshua G. Rodriguez, Anthony Vela Jr., Daniel G. Hernandez, Erick Alonzo,Jr., Orlando Perdomo, and Luis Hilaire; his grandparents, Noel and Maria Lara; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jose and Yvette Morales; his brother, Joshua Rodriguez; and his great friend, Fredo.
Chris will always be remembered for his kind heart, and the love he shared with family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, followed by a funeral service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
