Chee Ku Kim was born on January 13, 1945 in Seoul, South Korea to his father, Horin Kim and mother, Chunsik Hong. He is the third child out of five siblings. He graduated from Korea University with a degree in Business Administration. He got married to his wife, Booyoung Kim and came to the U.S. in 1980. While in the U.S., he was a business owner for 30 years, working in fashion and golf. He also served in many leadership roles in the Houston Korean American community.
Chee Ku Kim was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his beloved wife, Booyoung Kim; his son, Peter Kim; his daughter, Sarah Lee; and five grandchildren.
