Charles Edward Thompson Sr. went to be with his Lord on February 3, 2017. He was born on May 19, 1926 in Dallas, Texas to parents Iva Lee and Joe Thompson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 45 years, Evelyn Thompson; two sisters, Margaret Bowles, Mary Jo Baughan; two sons, Clifton T. Thompson and Charles E. Thompson Jr.. He is survived by his three children, Steve Light and wife Judy, Peggy Ramirez and husband Elias, Sabrina Ann Thompson and fiancé Robert; sister, Shirlene Parks; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM; with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039; followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
