Charles graduated from Charles Bender High School in Humble and later married Marilyn Dawson on June 23, 1956.
He worked in crane operation at General Welding for over 20 years. He was a longtime member of North Central Church and had a passion for hunting, fishing, he also loved to bowl and play games.
Charles loved most sports, especially the Houston Astros, wrestling and enjoyed classic country music. He attended church at every opportunity and valued reading his bible. He treasured his tractor and could always be found tending his garden. Above all, he loved his family, their travels and socializing with friends.
Charles was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn J. Moore; daughter, Marsha Lynn Willis; sons, Charles W. Moore, Jr., Richard Glen Moore; parents, Benton & Lona Moore; brother, Bobby Moore (Robert Lee), and sister, Dorothy Myers.
He is survived by his sister, Benny Lou Scarborough; grandson, Darrell Willis and his wife, Janet Willis; grandson, Timothy Ferrier and his wife, Ashley Ferrier; son-in-law, William R. Willis; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Tyson, Taylor, and Tara; sister-in-law, Laura Dawson and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
