Caroline, a long time resident of Houston, retired from Rheem Manufacturing Company as Production Scheduler in 1986. In retirement, she became an avid genealogist traveling the country researching family history. She was thrilled to discover that her great-grandmother Alice Thompson[Collinsworth] was the daughter of James Thompson one of the early settlers of Tennessee. Alice’s eldest son was James Collingsworth, signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and namesake of Collinsworth County. Following years of work, Caroline proved her relationships for herself and descendants and obtained certificates of recognition from the First Families of Tennessee and Texas.
