Carlton Randolph Smith was born on the 12th of November 1932 in San Antonio, TX. He later moved to Houston, TX and then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953 and served 4 years during the Korean War and married his wife Barbara Smith on the 20th of August 1955
He was a Corrosion Engineer until his retirement from Entex Gas Co in 1990. He was an active member of American Legion Post 391 for many years. He was an Eagle Scout Leader, Civic leader for the neighborhood, Camping Club, Motorcycle Club member. Carlton was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was an mentor to many.
Carlton passed peacefully on the 1st of November 2021 at home in Bellville, TX
Carlton was preceded in death by his mother, father, 2 sisters, brother and sister in law.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Smith along with 3 sisters and 1 brother, many nieces and nephews and other friends and family members.
Visitation will be held November 29th, 2021 at Assumption Catholic Church from 9:00AM to 10:00AM with a funeral Mass at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
