Carlos Mauricio Martinez

Carlos was born on May 31, 1966 in Pinar del Rio, Cuba to Carlos Jacobo Martinez Garcia and Miriam Berta Ramos Ramirez. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, loving husband who was loved by all who came in contact with him. Carlos had a very generous heart and loved helping those in need.

Carlos was an Electrical Engineer and he also held a Texas PE license. Carlos graduated from Georgia Tech and upon graduating he worked for EXXON Corp. Currently Carlos works for Chevron as a Sr. Subsea Power Systems Engineer for the past 27 months. Carlos was known as a dedicated employee to every company he worked for.

Other than spending time with his loving wife and son, Carlos enjoyed going back to Puerto Rico to visit his family and friends. Carlos also enjoyed playing Ice Hockey and coached his son’s youth hockey teams for many years. It brought great joy to Carlos being able to play Ice Hockey on Sunday nights with his son.

One of his joys in life was grilling outdoors on his patio. He loved making Philly Cheese Steaks for all his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Melvin Edward Ardoin, Sr.; his mother-in-law Geraldine Josephine Leger Ardoin, and his brother-in-law Kenneth Ray Ardoin.

Carlos was survived by his wife, Sharon Lynn Ardoin Martinez of Houston, TX; his son, Carlos Edward Martinez of Houston, TX; his parents, Carlos Jacobo Martinez Garcia and Miriam Berta Ramos Ramirez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; his sister Barbara Ivette Martinez Ramos and her husband Luis Manuel Maldonado Pena of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; nephew Pedro Carlo Torres Martinez of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; two nieces, Patricia Isabelle Torres Martinez and Sofia Ysabel Maldonado Martinez of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
