In 1973 he was named Joske's baby of the year. This was and still is Carl's biggest and best achievement according to his loving mother Pearl Weber. Carl was a wonderful student and enjoyed learning of any kind. He studied business and fashion merchandising at The Art Institute of Houston.
He began his retail career at the Chess King in Deerbrook mall and found his love for fashion. He then went on to own three retail stores in his life. Jove was the first store located in the heart of Montrose. Dervish and Flounce soon followed with great success. Carl left the retail industry to pursue another passion, cosmetology. He began this new adventure at Metro Beauty, supplying beauty products to many salons around Houston. He went on to receive his Texas Cosmetology License with a specialization in color. Carl was passionate about hair. He was told by many people that he could do the most amazing things with a head of hair. He found so much joy in coloring any and everyone's hair.
Carl recently bought his first home with his life partner William Walcott. Together, with their beloved dogs, Maddie Mascara, Joleen and Bob Barker they settled into the suburban life. Carl loved driving around in his bright blue car with the dogs in tow and the windows down. He most definitely had an iced Starbucks coffee in hand with Dolly Parton songs blaring out the speakers.
Carl was an old soul. He loved antiques. His home was filled with music. He had a passion for soccer and was often the first one up at 6AM to watch a game being played overseas. He lit up any room and was the life of the party. He never met a stranger and had the gift of gab. Carl will forever be remembered as a light to so many.
The Weber family would like to thank Carl's extended family, his friends. Carl was passionate about his friends. He loved them fiercely and they brought so much joy to his life. William Walcott, Richard and Oscar Dowthitt, Clifford Fields, Cherie Barraera, Sean Norgaared, Eric Mees, Valerie Frazier and countless other friends and co-workers who were there with him on his journey through life. We would also like to thank Ms. Gloria Bryant (Old Mama) for being his second mama and being there for him this past year.
Carl was just too big for this little world. He was such a light to so many and had a zest for life that will be unmatched. Carl will forever be in our hearts.
He was called home to be with his family that preceded him in death, Guadalupe Alvarez, Marina Alvarez, Carl Raymond Weber, Constance Bernice Weber, Ramona Batts, Connie Sandel and Omar Alvarez.
Carl is survived by his family, Carl A Weber, Pearl Weber, Kelley Ferrer, Vimvirl Ferrer and Violet Ferrer. His extended family William Walcott, Maddie Mascara, Joleen, Bob Barker, and Gloria Bryant.
