Bruce Alan Krenek was born on February 8, 1957 in Houston, TX to Hilton and Bernice Krenek. He married Debbie Stepanski on March 4, 1978. They lived in Houston for most of their lives where they raised their two girls, Lacy Nicole and Jenna Renee. After years of memories they built their dream home in New Waverly, TX on three acres of land, a place for Bruce and Debbie to relax and fish and a place to enjoy their ever-growing family and friends.
Through out Bruce’s life he was an avid car enthusiast. He loved everything from building (and taking them apart), drag racing motorcycles or just taking his grandchildren on a joy ride. He also enjoyed fishing either on the lake with Debbie and the girls or just throwing a line in the pond in his backyard. Bruce could also be seen on the sidelines and even coaching his daughter’s softball games, and later in life became the number one fan of all of his grandchildren’s activities from softball and baseball to soccer and even dance. Anything Bruce put his mind to, he did whole-heartedly, but his true passion was his family.
Bruce was called to be with the Lord with his wife and daughters by his side on January 26, 2016. He is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Debbie Krenek. They were each other’s best friends and she was the center of his world. He is also survived by his daughters Lacy and husband Ean Ledford and Jenna and husband Scott Spillars. Bruce was an amazing dad and an even better PaPa he was most proud of his beautiful grandbabies, Lilli Nicole Piersons, Kadence Olivia Piersons, Jordan Danielle Ledford, Kolby Levi Spillars, Tinsley Claire Spillars and Nolan Ty Spillars. He is also survived by his sister Sheryl and husband Johnnie Mittag and his sister Donna and husband Steven James, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Philip and Betty Stepanski and the entire Stepanski family.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Hilton and Bernice Krenek, brother-in-law Ronnie Stepanski and grandparents.
Debbie, Lacy and Jenna would like to extend their deepest gratitude to their wonderful family and friends for their love and support. Debbie would like to specifically thank Fisk Electric for giving her the support to spend time with her best friend.
A service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Brookside Funeral home. Immediately following the service everyone is invited to a barbeque dinner at Scott Jenna’s home 19702 Black Mesa Ranch Ln. Cypress, TX 77433.
