Brenda was a native of Houston, Texas. She spent her younger years in Pensacola, Florida. Brenda returned to Houston at the age of nine. At the age of 16, she met and fell in love with her sweetheart Dwight Jacks, whom she married. They both graduated together from Forest Brook Sr. High School. To this union of 23 years, four children were added. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother.
Brenda was a devoted employee at Kroger for many years until she followed her passion into health care and transportation. Brenda became ill in February 2004 and fought hard for 17 years until the Lord called her home.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories four children: Jonathan Dees, Margaret (Shakiu) Jacks Jones, Rachal (Samuel) Jacks, and Wayneishia Jacks. Ten grandchildren: Isaiah, Javion, Kilon, Brody, Shakira, Shakiu Jr., Shaki, Sa’Miracle, Alyssa, and Tava; Three sisters: Diana (Mickey) Lawal, Tina (Earl) Smith of Houston, Texas and Charlotte (Tommy) Battle of Pensacola, Florida. Cousin-sister Demetria Jackson; Two aunts Minne of Houston, Texas and Mattie of Pensacola, Florida; Two uncles, James Dees of Pensacola, Florida, and Jack of Houston, Texas; She also leaves behind two best friends Vernell Murdock and Ramona and a host of relatives and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Minne and Luscious Dees, one grandson Kilon Dees, her brothers Shawn and June and one sister Little Minnie.
