Bonnie Ruth Blackmon James, age 88 born in Port Arthur, Tx. departed this earth on Saturday June 4, 2011 and was surrounded by her family. She went to be with Jesus and her beloved husband of 59 years, Coram Charles "Jesse" James. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie James Primm Davis and her husband, Tom; grandsons, Charles James (C.J.) Primm and Jonathan Primm, caregivers Maria Basurto and Yolanda Longoria, and a host of family and friends. Bonnie worked for Parkview Hospital and Clinic for 30 years, and was a founding member of Broadway Church of Christ and a member of Southeast Church of Christ for 36 years. Visitation will be held at Forst Park Lawndale, on Monday June 6, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery on Tuesday 7, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Charles Kymes will officiate. The family wants to thank the ICU Unit of Cornerstone Hospital for their kindness and compassion during Mom's stay.
