Born October 26, 1925 to Ray Benton and Iona Bessie Black in Wellington Kansas, she was a graduate of Wellington High School where she was homecoming queen. Bonnie attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri before marrying Victor Shuey Nichols on June 3, 1945. Together they raised three children.
She became a legal secretary and eventually owned her own secretarial service. Bonnie’s many interests included photography, dancing, playing cards and bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vic and is survived by her daughter, Cindy Sue Case and husband John, sons Victor Ray Nichols and his wife Leslie, Clark David Nichols and his wife Lynn, four grandchildren, Lisa Beth Case, Debra Ann Case, Krysta Lynn Nichols and Austin David Nichols. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Smith and her husband, Cliff.
Memorial service to be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston. The family will be available for visitation until 7:00 PM immediately following the service. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Wellington Cemetery on Friday, April, 8, 2011, in Wellington, Kansas.
