Blanca E. Bollom, 67 born March 17, 1951 in General Teran, N.L., Mexico and became a U.S. Citizen in 1981 passed away February 19, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of San Jacinto High School, Class of 1970. Her first job out of high school was with Texas Commerce Bank. She then went to work at Dresser Industries where she met and fell in love with a young mechanical engineer named David Bollom. She and David married on January 17, 1981. Blanca, also worked for 35 years as an Administrative Assistant for Dresser, Enron and E&C Engineers. Blanca and David were married for 38 years and had two sons.She loved travelling with David to out of town Cougar football games and meeting with all the UofH Alumni. Her home was impeccable and her gardening skills were unmatched. All of her nieces and nephews affectionately called her “Tia Banky”. At family gatherings everyone looked forward to her baked goodies; banana bread and brownies were the fan favorites. Blanca was very active in her community. She was a member and Treasurer for the Jersey Village Women’s Group. She also served as a Board Member and Secretary for Headstrong Brain Injury Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization. For the past 9 years she hosted an annual summer bash for the kids known as: “Tia Banky Bollom’s Balloon Bonanza”. Blanca & David turned their backyard into a waterpark; the kids had a blast with water balloon fights, slip & slides, pools, sprinklers and more. The only rules were, everyone has fun and everyone gets wet. Blanca was predeceased by her Mother, Estela Falcon; Brothers-in-Law, Gerry Bollom and Charles E. Gilmer; her In Laws, Fritz and Martha Bollom. She is survived by her Husband, David and two Sons, Michael and James, her father, Vicente Falcon, Siblings: Maria Rodriguez (Juan), Jose Antonio Falcon (Carmen), Lilly Gilmer Collins (Dan); Sisters-in-Law Gaynell Wayne and Kathy Bollom, numerous nieces and nephews who love her very much.
