Betty Jo Young "Nana" was called home by the angels on Friday, April 22, 2016. Born May 25, 1928 to William Thompson Jr. & Claudie Elizabeth Longnecker. She graduated Sacred Heart College with her BS Degree in Nursing in 1952. Married Carl E. Young in September 1966 and remained a loving, devoted wife until his death in August 1992.
Nana is survived by her daughter Claudine and husband, Dewayne Eickenhorst; sons Barton and wife Cindy Young & Woody and wife Venus Young; grandchildren Ben, Ashley, Sam, Laura, Liz, Jessa, Jamille & Chyiane; great grandchildren Ryan, Karli, Hunter, Branson, Lane, Landen, Jacob, Matthew & Luke; numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins; caregivers Ms. G, Sherry, Jack & Amy.
As her family we will miss her loving and gentle heart and unconditional acceptance of everyone she met.
Visitation will be from 5p-8p on Thursday, April 28th and funeral services will be on Friday, April 29th at 10a in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer.
