Betty J Stevens

Betty June Stevens, 85, passed away March 15, 2014 in Katy, Texas. Betty was born June 25, 1928 in Eastland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Harvey Guthrie and mother Lila Jane Guthrie Vaughn and her husband George W. Stevens. Surviving family members are her daughter, Belinda Jane Osborn and son-in-law Lewis Ray Osborn of Houston and grandson Brandon Lewis Osborn of Richmond, Texas. Also, surviving children of her deceased husband George are, daughter Judy Taylor and her husband Michael of Houston, son Gregory George Stevens and his wife Julie of Houston, daughter Yvonne Stevens of Houston, daughter Cindi Cooper and her husband Stan of Houston, and daughter Meri Stevens of Austin, Texas, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, all of whom Betty loved as her own.

Betty was employed by Connally I.S.D. in Waco, Texas as administrative assistant to the Superintendent and High School Principal for 12 years and by Lockheed Martin Corporation (formerly Ford Aerospace Communications & Operations) as administrative assistant to the Director of Operations for 20 years. Betty and her husband George loved to travel and upon her retirement, George accepted employment in Seoul, South Korea, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Charleston, West Virginia before moving to Katy, Texas where she lived until her death.
