Betty Jo Spence, age 95, residing in Houston TX passed away on June 29th 2023. Betty Jo, was born on Oct 4 1927 in Houston TX where she grew up and raised two children with her husband Jack Spence. She was a house wife and a very talented painter that was willing to help anyone who needed it. She survived by her sisters Sharon Nelson, Joan Kamp; daughter Joanna Thornton; grandchildren; Jeff Spence, Rebecca Mallory, Sean Thornton, and Julianne Thornton, great grandchildren Parker Mallory and Levi Mallory; nieces Terri Losack Wade, Patti Stracener ,Carolyn Hurr, Jennifer McGlockin; nephew Gino Chelakis, James Durden and her daughter-in-law Mary Spence. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband Jack Spence and her son Greg Spence and nephew Michael Chelakis
A Graveside Service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055 Friday July 7th at 11 am.
