Betty Lou Henson

Born on the 31st of January 1926, in Diamond, Missouri, she was the daughter of William Isaac McCary and Jessie Hughes McCary. She was married to Jack Thomas Henson from the 16th of December 1950, until his death in December of 1965.

Betty graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview, Missouri, and after graduating moved to Tulsa where she began her business career, working for Shell Oil and Amoco until her retirement in 1987. She furthered her education with classes at the University of Tulsa and was active in the American Business Women’s Association.

She was predeceased by her brother, the late William Hughes McCary in February of 2011.

Betty is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Monty Eubank, of Houston; grandchild, Marissa Eubank, of Houston; sister-in-law, Kathleen and her husband, Jerry Willard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and nephew Jim McCary of Allison, Iowa.

The family desires to express their gratitude to her caregivers, Kimberly Hill, Victoria Turner, Martha Weaver, and especially Melanie Johnson, for their devotion and affection to Betty.

The funeral service is to be conducted at half-past one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 19th of January, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent Grand Foyer.
