Bernardino Cruz, Sr., age 78, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Houston, Texas. He was born in El Salvador to Pascual Santa Maria and Tomasa Cruz. He worked many years for Fiesta Grocery Store. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maria Cruz; son, Bernardino Cruz, Jr. and wife Aurora; daughter, Lorena Cecibel Cruz; grandchildren, Cesar Cruz, Alexander Cruz, Bernardino Cruz, III, Kaelyn Cruz, and Victoria Cruz; brother, Santos Cruz; special relative, Elias Serrano; and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., and then Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 901 Rose Lane, Houston, Texas, with the Rite of Committal Burial to follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
