Bennie Joe Vincent

Bennie Joe Vincent, 79, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024, in Fulshear, Texas. Born on October 31, 1944, in Teague, Texas, to Thelma Mae Rogers, Bennie spent nearly 20 years serving the city of Houston, where his dedication and hard work left a lasting impact.

In his leisure time, Bennie found joy in classic cars, fishing, and cooking. He had a love for the TV show "Friends" and enjoyed watching movies and sharing laughter with those around him. His warm personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bennie is survived by his beloved daughter, Sherry Vincent, of Houston, Texas; his two cherished grandchildren, Christian James Vincent and Matthew Barrett Fitch-Vincent; and many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Vincent, and his mother, Thelma Mae Vincent.

In honor of Bennie’s life and memory, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospital, a cause that was close to his heart.

Bennie’s spirit and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

A family gathering for Bennie will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd., Houston, TX 77008. A celebration of life will begin at 1:00 PM. with a reception to follow from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Heights Funeral Home.
