Beatrice Zapata

Beatrice Zapata born May 5, 1925 in Cuero, Texas passed away on May 9, 2015 in Kingwood, Texas. Beatrice was preceded in death by husband, Camilo Zapata, Jr. She is survived by daughter, Mabel Johnston; son, Camilo Zapata, III; son, Arthur Zapata and wife Lety; son, Jerry Zapata; son, Chris Zapata and wife Thelma; daughter, Lora Annette DeAnda, son, Michael Ray Zapata; daughter, Cindy Zapata and 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Beatrice liked to sew her sequin calendars, go to the casino and watch her favorite show, "COPS".She also enjoyed sitting in her garden and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mama was a great cook, especially her tortillas and enchiladas and many other "goodies." Beatrice was a strong woman and worked hard all her life as she did to the end. Rest in peace our dear, loving mother, grandma. You will be in our hearts forever. Till we meet again. Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039. Visitation will be Thursday, May 14 from 5pm to 8pm with an Evening Service at 7:00p on Friday, May 15, 2015.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted in the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home at 10:00am on Friday, May 15, 2015. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
