Augustin Lozano Melchor

On September 15, 1956 Augustin confessed his love for his wife Dolores Hernandez Melchor that lead to a commitment of love for 67 years. In their union they were blessed with three children; Steve H. Melchor, Monica A. Castillo and Christina M. Pena.

He is survived by his daughters, five grandchildren; Steve A. Melchor, Roy Rojas, Jonathan D. Pena, Amanda A. Rojas and Elysa M. Pena, four great-grandchildren; Makayla Melchor, Josie Caldwell-Melchor, Nathan K. Pena and Christopher J. Melchor, his brother Louis Melchor, and son-in-law Jose Luis Castillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eulajio and Dolores L. Melchor; his wife, Dolores H. Melchor; his son, Steve H. Melchor; sisters, Cipriana Garcia, Sista Santa Cruz, Elena Delariva; and brothers, Isabel, Donato, Nieves, Monico, Isidoro, Martin, and Apolinar, and son-in-law John J. Pena, Jr.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Thereza Gonzalez for the care and compassion she showed our dad in his final days.

A visitation for Augustin will be held Friday, June 9, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 10, 2023 starting at 10:00 AM at Forest Park Westheimer. A committal service will follow.
