Artie entered this world on March 2, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Roy Crawford Sr. and Artie Myrtle Little Crawford, and her beloved cat, Tiger. Surviving her are her brother, Joseph Roy Crawford Jr, his wife Edith M. Crawford and their son and her nephew, Keith J. Crawford, all of Austin, Texas.
Artie (or Jeannette as some knew her) received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from The University of Texas at Austin in 1955. While at UT, she was a member of Phi Mu – and she continued her involvement with the Phi Mu fraternal organization for many years. She remained a diehard Longhorn fan until her death.
She was a world traveler in her youth as she made many trips to Europe and Asia – both for business and for pleasure. She worked for Cameron Iron Works and Wyman Gordon for the majority of her professional career, most recently as a Customer Service Supervisor. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Cameron Employees Credit Union for several years.
She will be missed by her many friends, sorority sisters and family.
