She lived her life with compassion, strength, humility, a tireless drive, and an unwavering love for her family. From humble beginnings, she was able to build a very successful business without having any formal training just by simply having great intuition and natural ability. She wasn’t one to complain and dealt with her problems with patience and an uncanny amount of insight. One of her go to sayings was “there are no problems”meaning that it’s all about how you decide to look at a situation; you can focus on the problem or focus on the solution. She was always there to offer up great nuggets of advice like that. The thing that mattered most to Mom was being with her family that is where she was the happiest. Even amongst trying to run a business, she always made time for her family and was the first to celebrate a family member’s accomplishment or any important life event. Whether it was driving the family to New York for her son’s college graduation, regularly attending her daughter’s cross country meets, celebrating her son passing his real estate exam and becoming a “licenciado”, staying with her daughter for a few days after her daughter had given birth to her first child, or driving to Austin and just hanging out with her daughter for the weekend who was attending college. She was our biggest cheerleader, our matriarch. We will always be thankful for the time we had together and her unconditional love. She will be missed always and we will never forget everything that she was.
