Antoinette Denise Howard Stringer, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and devoted friend entered this world on December 10, 1961, to the late Mr. Jessie Stringer and Mrs. Ruby Stringer. She transcended to her heavenly home on May 5, 2019, at the Atrium Medical Center after a brief illness.
Antoinette accepted Christ at an early age when she was baptized at Mt. Olive 2nd Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA. She received her education from Gardena High in Los Angeles, CA. Her academic success continued as she graduated from college with her cosmetology certification which lead her in a profession to win a plethora of hair/beauty contest. Shortly following, Antoinette was inspired to learn more about her Christianity and entered into Christian Bible College in Los Angeles, CA.
Antoinette was an adventurous soul with a smile. She traveled for many years from Los Angeles; Dallas, TX; Indianapolis, IN; Jackson, MS and settled in Houston, TX where she lived for the last 20 years. While in Houston, TX, she dedicated her final years to contributing her time and love to residents at Saint Mary Group Home in Houston, TX until she fell ill.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother, Ruby Jewel Stringer. Six sisters; Shanta` Jones (Anthony) of San Pedro, CA, Jessica Paris (Nekia) of Dallas, TX, Mary Louise Stringer of Los Angeles, CA, Teresa Steppe (Lamar), Debbie DeVasher, Kim Crawford (Dennis) all of Indianapolis, IN. Four brothers Jessie Lamont Stringer (Kelly) of Jackson, MS, Jessie Lee Stringer, Jr. (Jessica Harvey) of Los Angeles, CA, Kenneth Stringer (Sherry) of Indianapolis, IN. Her god-mother Barbara Tippin of Los Angeles, CA and her best friend Mary Humphrey of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Jessie Stringer of Jackson, MS; sister, Doris Jean Angram of Terry, MS; and her brothers Cedric Lamar Stringer (Avis K. Stringer), Jackson, MS, Michael Stringer of Jackson, MS. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces and nephews.
She’s gone, but she will never be forgotten.
