Annie Jewel Kizzee opened her eyes to this world in Trinity, Texas on January 18, 1951. Born to Jewel Kizzee and Jessie Mae Williams, she was the first child of this union. She was the second of five siblings. Annie worked outside the home until she, later, became a stay-at-home mom to three children: Hardy, Melvin Lewis and Syrena. When they grew up, she resumed working. On December 27, 2013, Annie departed this life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Mae Kizzee; brothers, Kelvin Kizzee and David Langham; and sister, Constance Kizzee. She leaves, to mourn: her children, Hardy, Melvin Lewis and Syrena; ten grandchildren; her father, Jewel Kizzee; brother, Melvin Kizzee; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins who loved her as their sister and friends who loved her as family
