She was born June 13, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michelle graduated from Marshall High School and received a Bachelor’s of Business Management from LeTourneau University. She was married to Paul William Fricke on October 15, 1988. Michelle had a career as a surveyor, right-of-way agent, and land specialist, previously working at Houston METRO and EnerVest. Most recently, she worked as a senior lease analyst for XCL Resources.
Michelle had a passion for a wide variety of things. She was a gifted artist and musician. She enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, taking leisure learning classes, grilling, all things dogs, beer and music. She could be caught reading, enjoying the outdoors, going on trips, supporting small restaurants and researching conspiracy theories. She had recently obtained her motorcycle license and enjoyed the freedom of riding her bike. Although she believed in Bigfoot, she did not want to meet one! She was an incredible friend to many.
She was preceded in death by husband Paul William Fricke, parents Patricia and Frank Holmes, Jr., and brother Douglas McMurry Holmes. She is survived by sisters Gwen Holmes and Fran Devine, nephews Steven Blomstedt and Larry Blomstedt, niece Karen Walls, numerous great nieces and nephews and adopted daughter Dana Dixon.
