Angel graduated from Milby High School and joined the air force in 1953. He met Mary Rosales in East Houston and married on August 23, 1953. Angel had a career in shipping and receiving at Weatherford for 15 years. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and had passion getting together with his family, sports, music, and dancing. In addition to Angel's passions he enjoyed a ice cold beer or two, laughter, but nothing outweighed his loved for his enormous family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Munoz; parents, Augustine Munoz and Otila Munoz; brothers, Pat Munoz, and Ruben Munoz; daughter, Victoria Flores; sons-in-law, Albert Flores II, and Alfredo Garcia II.
Angel is survived by his daughters, Otila Gonzalez (Norbert), Silva Garza, Rose Mary Flores (Nick), and Angelita Ramirez (Joel); sons, Angel Munoz Jr. (Santos), Joe Munoz, Nick Munoz, Mark Munoz (Ana), and Jose Diaz (Julie Diaz); niece, Connie Munoz; 39 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Nicholas Flores Sr., Nicholas Flores Jr., Jason Goins Sr., Marcus Gonzalez, Carlos Ruiz, and Joe Munoz. Serving as junior pallbearers are Logan Goins, Jason Goins Jr., Javen Pena and Zachary Pena.
A visitation for Angel will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A rosary will occur Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A graveside will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
