Amy Mason Williams, 45, passed away on April 15, 2021 in Houston, Texas where she lived and worked as an elementary school teacher. Amy is survived by her husband Christopher Williams, parents Jack and Nancy Mason, sister Lisa Mason, mother-in-law Joyce Williams, brothers-in-law Randy Williams and Patrick Williams (Lauren), and nieces Taylor Williams and Callie Williams, all of Houston, Texas, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Amy is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Yancy Williams.
Amy was born in Louisville, Kentucky and spent her childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a beloved and devoted wife, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. Amy had an affinity for horses and music at a young age, and her love of music continued through her years at Texas Tech University where she played the flute in the Goin’ Band from Raiderland and earned a Bachelor's degree in elementary education. Throughout her 23 year teaching career, Amy was recognized as an exemplary teacher and was loved and cherished by the students, parents, and teachers with whom she crossed paths. Amy also had a green thumb, always taking the opportunity to get her hands in the dirt and bring things to life.
Amy had a servant's heart, a strong faith in Jesus Christ, and lived a joy-filled life. She loved spending time with her husband tasting wine, cooking, and doting over their dog Max. She was a loyal and intentional friend and cherished time spent with her family. She cared deeply about each and every one of her students and was invested in their education.
A memorial service will be held at Bayou City Fellowship (1400 Brittmoore) in Houston, Texas on Thursday, April 22 at 5:00pm and will be officiated by John Knox.
