He passed away peacefully in his home on December 13, 2022.
Alphonse had a long and full life. He was born on December 27th, 1937, in Houston, Texas
to the parents of Robert James Jackson, Sr. and Ruby Jackson. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Alphonse worked a variety of jobs because most of all, Alphonse loved people. He loved interacting with folks from all walks of life.
He met his devoted wife 25 years ago, whom he officially wed on July 9th, 2022.
He was determined to stay with her as long as he could, while showing unbelievable resilience and perseverance that his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will carry with them for years to come.
He cared about his family and those around him with inspiring devotion. He was a storyteller, always joking with an unforgettable laugh those that knew him will remember always.
“I’m feeling pretty good today” is what you would hear from Alphonse no matter how bad he was feeling. He was not one to complain or want his loved ones to worry about him.
He kept his love for life, and even during his last days, he always had enough energy to show us his amazing smile.
Alphonse is preceded in death by his father Robert James Jackson, Sr., and his mother Ruby Jackson; three sisters Rochelle Caldwell, Sheila York, and Annette Arvis Strawder; three brothers Ronnie Jackson, Joe Allen Jackson, and Danny Jackson, and son Alphonse Jackson Jr. “Petebo”.
Alphonse leaves to cherish his loving wife Josephine Mahalia Jackson, sister Judy Jackson (Sidney), brother Robert James Jackson, Jr. children Regina Walker (James), Ann Jackson, Deborah Jackson, Darrell Jones (Pat), Keith Jackson, Jerome (Kathy), Demekia Ulerio (Elbi), Deadra Baker, Lori Dupre
Delana Rhodes (Michael), and a host of family and friends.
