Alison Fay Hill-Smith

She was born in Tuscaloosa, AL, on July 10, 1965, to Lester and Annie Ruth Hill.

Alison graduated from the University of Alabama in August 1988. She went on to pursue a career in retail, working as an assistant manager, and department manager. She later worked for Texas Work Force Solutions, where she helped people prepare for and obtain jobs. Alison had a passion for real estate, where she worked as a real estate agent, and broker.

On May 17, 1997, Alison married Michael D. Smith, Sr. Together they served the Lord, through serving others. Alison’s love for the Lord was evident to all who knew her. Her passion for helping others continued, even while dealing with her own health issues.

Alison was preceded in death by her father, Lester Hill. She is survived by her mother, Annie Ruth Hill, sister, Shavonne Hill, brother, Reginald Hill (Marquita), and husband, Michael.

She leaves behind 5 step children, Kendra, Michael Jr., Gabriel (Lauren), Daria (Steven) and Sarah. 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and family, both physical and spiritual.

Final arrangements were made by Brookside Funeral Home – Champions. Her earthly body will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery, in Houston. Her spiritual body is resting with the Lord, in paradise.

A celebration of life for Alison will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bammel Church of Christ, 2700 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, TX 77068. A fellowship will occur Monday, May 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2700 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, Tx 77068. A committal service will occur Monday, May 13, 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
