Alberto Pizano, 78, went to be with our Lord and savior on December 17, 2023. Alberto was born in Tampico Tamaulipas, Mexico on November 15, 1945 to Manuel and Maria de Socorro Pizano. Alberto had a humble beginning as a migrant worker who cared for and raised his three younger siblings.
On November 15, 1964 Alberto married his loving wife, Hermenia Saavedra Pizano and fathered five children who he loved dearly. Alberto has always been known to be a hard worker and provider for his family. He became a foreman for Coastal Foundry and retired after fifty-one years of service. He enjoyed traveling, coaching sports, and he was the Tigres’ number one fan. Alberto was known for his sense of humor by occasionally playing jokes on his family and friends. We will always remember him and see him in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Alberto Pizano is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Hermenia Pizano and his five children: Rosa and Daniel Mireles, Alberto and Josefina Pizano Jr., Mark and Nancy Pizano, Roxanna Pizano, Susy Pizano and David Castillo. Grandchildren: Mark Ryan and Juliette Pizano, Stephanie Castillo and Joshua Bergeron, Ashley Pizano and Nicolas Olivares, Eric Pizano and Mariah Montoya, Kailynn Castillo and Edgar Barrera, Steven Pizano and Karina Barragan Salas, Alberto Pizano and Thanairy Garcia, Ajay Pizano, John Paul Pizano. Great Grand Children: Adam Pizano, Allie Marmolejo, Valerie Barragan Salas, Aria Arterburn, Aislyn Arterburn, Peyton Bergeron, Mateo Pizano, and Nicholas Pizano.
A visitation for Alberto will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, December 28th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St., Houston, TX 77009.Burial will take place following mass at Hollywood Cemetery, Houston, TX.
