Adrian was born August 14, 2009 in Houston, Texas to Leland & Shanna Cannon. From the moment Adrian was born, we knew he was destined for greatness and he did not disappoint.
Adrian attended David Anthony Middle School and was passionate about football and culinary arts. He was a well-rounded young man who maintained exceptional grades in advance-level courses and excelled in athletics. From a pick six on the football field, to a roundhouse kick in a Taekwondo tournament, to rounding third base and sliding home Adrian consistently gave his all, leaving everything he had on the respective field or mat. He was a team player admired by his coaches and fellow teammates.
Off the field, Adrian enjoyed playing video games, swimming, watching anime, and reading. Most importantly, Adrian had a deep love for his family. He cherished spending time together and enjoyed playing board games, especially Monopoly.
As an Army brat, Adrian was a globetrotter who acquired more passport stamps than most and loved to travel. In 13 years, he had touched the lives of people all over the world. His radiant energy and love traversed barriers from the United States to South Korea and he was immediately loved by all. Adrian dreamed of following in his parents’ footsteps of selfless service in the U.S. military and continuing to serve others as a doctor. There is no doubt, whatever path Adrian chose he would have succeeded.
A true humanitarian, Adrian chose love over all else. He loved so many and was loved by so many more. He possessed emotional intelligence beyond his years. Adrian was well known for his joyful smile and altruistic heart. The unconditional love he exuded from his very being left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to have entered his magnetic orbit. The compassion, benevolence, gentleness, and empathy Adrian conveyed to others is an example for all humanity.
Adrian was the bright light in a dark room. His passing has created a void in the lives of many that can never be filled. Adrian Michael will remain in our hearts, being loved and missed, forever.
Adrian will be deeply missed by his adoring parents, Leland and Shanna Cannon; brother, Gabriel; grandmothers, Petra Maza and Cheryl Gee; aunts, Melanie Murdock and Amy Aumond; cousins, Arianna, Milana and Weston; God parents, John and Devin Shipley; and countless others.

And whispered as she closed the book,
