Nick, as he was known as, was born in Camaguey, Cuba on February 3, 1931, to Laurindo and Isabel. He grew up on a ranch, tending to horses and chickens, and playing in the sugar cane fields. While in Cuba he met the love of his life, Cristina Del Cueto, and they were married on August 18, 1956. Nick’s 37 year career with Halliburton as an Electrical Engineer afforded him and his family many opportunities like international travel, relocations from South America to the US, and an opportunity to build a lifetime of friendships along the way.
