Mya attend school in Terrebonne Parish School District. Mya enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her fur babies and enjoyed cooking. Mya’s infectious smile would light up any room. She was free spirited with a big forgiving heart. She conversed with everyone she came in contact with, she had a “Peacemaker” spirit.
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Mya Alexis Bingham 18, a native and resident of Houma, La departed her temporary home. Memories of Mya Alexis Bingham will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, James (Danyell) Bingham Jr. and mother, Meagan Breaux (Sylvester Welch Sr.); all of Houma, La. Two brothers: Taj Turner Jr., Sylvester Welch Jr. and one step-brother; Keshawn Malbrough. Three sisters: Kendalynn, Zoey and Kaizeleigh Bingham and one step-sister; Alasia Shaffer; all of Houma, La. Her paternal grandparents, James and Doris Bingham Sr. of Houma, La.; Her aunts, Trisha Martinez (Justin) of Thibodaux, La, Cheryl Bourg (Mark), Lynn White (Perry) and Kayla Smith (Donald Ray) all of Houma, La; Shantell Johnson (Dalton) Sr. of Gray, La, and Claudette Alexis of Thibodaux, La. Her uncles; Jammie Breaux (Shannon) of Houma, La, and Chad Breaux of Gonzales, La.
Mya was preceded in passing by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Malvina Breaux and aunts, Yahne Adams and Amy Breaux.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, October 12, 2024 in the chapel of Coteau Baptist Church, 2066 Coteau Rd, Houma, LA 10:00 am until service time. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3658 W Main St, Gray, LA.
