Earl Ray Mitchell Sr.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM for on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at New Rising Sun Baptist Church, 230 St Charles St., Houma, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the New Rising Sun Cemetery in Houma, LA.

Earl leaves to cherish his memories, his three sons, Leonard Ray (Gloria) Mitchell, Earl Ray (Penny) Mitchell, Jr., and Bobby Wayne Mitchell; three daughters, Yvette Marie Mitchell, Yvonne Mitchell (Michael) Odikpo and Melinda Mitchell; three brothers, Larry (Gloria) Mitchell, Donald Craig (Patsy) Mitchell and Rev. Gregory Bruce (Gwen) Mitchell; four sisters, Suzanne (Nolan) Harris, Valerie (George) Campbell, Arlene Mitchell and Dr. Veronica Thomas; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Freddie Mae Mitchell; parents, Joshua and Georgia Mitchell; one great grandson, Joshua D. Mitchell; one sister, Emelde Mitchell.
