Clara Mae Howard

A public viewing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S Hollywood Road in Houma. Burial will follow in Southdown Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Issac, Michael and David Alvis, Kirk (Keyona) and Willie (Mia) Howard; daughters, Clarice Lewis (Gerald) and Maryland Howard; thirty seven grandchildren; forty-seven great grandchildren; brothers, James Williams (Rosemary) and Dimitris Dickerson; sisters, Melvina S. Smith, Irma W. Craft and Jacqueline Gauno; sister-in-law, Joyce S. Williams.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Howard; former husband, Issac Alvis, Sr.; son, Herbert L. Alvis; grandchildren, Daronte and Elise Howard; parents, Melvin Williams and Estelle Norman; brothers, Gilbert Stoves and Sammy Williams; sister, Mary S. Smith; maternal grandparents, Author and Melvina Norman.
