Thurman Jackson Lacey received his wings the afternoon of April 1, 2015 at his home in Hot Springs, AR surrounded by loved ones. He was 59 years old when he entered Heaven’s gates. Thurman was born in Heber Springs, AR on March 22, 1956. He was greeted in Heaven by his Father and Mother Andrew and Dottie Lacey, brothers Gerald, Gary, Carol and Baby Lacey, brothers-in-law Riley Vaughn and Jessie (Jr.) Beasley and good friend Don Willis. Thurman is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Betty Lacey whom he married January 13, 1978. Thurman and Betty went on to have three daughters, adopted four daughters and one son which all loved him dearly! His children are daughter and son-in-law Patty and William (Wag) Gaddis of Hot Springs, daughter and son-in-law Elisha and Donny Willis of Hot Springs, daughter Jessica Lacey of Hot Springs, daughter Chasity Lacey of Hot Springs, daughter and son-in-law Kiana and Mark Graham of Lubbock, TX, daughter Elissa Lacey of Hot Springs, son Tyler Lacey of Hot Springs, daughter Chloe Lacey of Hot Springs, and many others that were like his own. Grandchildren are Renee, Stephanie, Kayla, Dakota Gaddis, KaEsha, Kendra, Kiara, Joseph Willis, LaBraun, Disyah Christon, Jozlyn Scott and Matthew Graham. Great-grandchildren are Harley Gaddis-Stead, KaElisha and KaDon Willis. Brothers and sisters are Loretta Vaughn of Hot Springs, Tommy and Carol Sue Lacey of Lonsdale, Laverta (Tuttie) and Mart (Jim) Cox of Lonsdale, Captain Carl Lacey of Hot Springs and mother-in-law Jean Lewis of Hot Springs and many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Josh Blanton, Jared Ball, Derek Baise, Rick Dennis, Derrick Hargrove, LeRay Davis, Joseph Scott Jr., Roger Kalas and Buddy McClard. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with Pastors Garland Edwards and George Vincent officiating at Gross Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ten Mile Cemetery. The family would like to offer their thanks to the following: his amazing hospice nurse, Amy Wilson and hospice team, Gross Funeral Home, Dr. Troy Oxner, Dallas Pomeroy, Barbara McConnell-Davis, Randy Jo Norton, World Wide Christian Outreach, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and all the many people who have helped during this time.
