She married her husband, Jim Nordquist, on March 28, 1970. They welcomed their only child, a daughter, Janna Rae, in 1976.
Young Janice wasn’t one to get into much mischief. From an early age she proved to be responsible and tidy. It served her well in life, being a hard worker and enjoying an array of talents for hobby and business.
Janice loved to travel, especially to the oceans. She was a talented cook and always had a green thumb. She enjoyed music and singing around a campfire or driving down the road. Janice honed in her artistry with interior decorating and designed with subtle flair and always a feeling of home.
Janice was a student of the Bible her entire life. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1961. Most recently she attended the Lake Hamilton Congregation in Hot Springs, but also was part of seven other congregations over the years, from Minnesota to Iowa to Arkansas. Janice had a strong faith in her Creator’s promises and enjoyed teaching others about the truths of the Bible; helping many bible students to the point of dedication and to have a relationship with Jehovah. She had many special privileges over the years serving as a regular pioneer and even a special pioneer for several years. She also worked as an interior designer for the RBC. A great joy of Janice’s was taking unassigned territory trips with friends and family, traveling great distances to share her faith with others.
Janice fell asleep in death on March 18, 2022 at her home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Janice is preceded in death by her parents: Harvey and Clara Dietrich. She is survived by: husband, Jim Nordquist; daughter, Janna Nordquist-Haynes; son-in-law, Justin Haynes; granddaughter, Julia Haynes; brothers, Robert Dietrich and Wayne Dietrich; brother and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.
