James was a hardworking, family man and spent more than 18 years working for Reynolds and would go on to spend another 15 years working at the historic Arlington Hotel. During his time at Reynolds he served as the president of the United Steel Workers of America Union local 332.
When James wasn’t hard at work he loved to spend time fishing, hunting and camping with his family; many memories were made on the shores of Lake Ouachita. He was also a devoted Cowboys fan and member of Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church.
Meeting him in Heaven are his parents; his brothers, Tony Garibay and Estanis Garibay of Argentina; son in law, Rod Catlett; great grandson, Coleman Garibay and his cherished fur baby, Lady.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 60 beautiful years, Nell Garibay; children, Nell-Ann Catlett, Jim Garibay Jr. (Tammy), Tamara Greenwood (Mark), Deena May (Tony); twin brother, Eddie Garibay; brothers, Jack and William Garibay; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Serving as Pallbearers are his grandsons; Blake, Alex, Spencer, Daniel, David, Rodney and Bentley.
Honorary Pallbearers include Charlie Bridges, Mark Garibay, Chad Catlett, Coy Davis, Darren McNeely, Denny Sharp, Derrick Hood, Kevin Hood, and Cones Road Missionary Baptist Church.
