Mr. James (Jim) A. Counts, 81, of Hot Springs, went from the arms of his wife to the arms of Jesus in his home on December 27, 2014. He was born April 10, 1933, in Little Rock, AR, to the late James and Ruby Counts. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife of nearly 40 years, Nancy Green Counts, his sister Melva Jean Kelly, and granddaughter Jamie Brown. He is survived by his precious wife of 20 years Edith Ann Counts, his sons Larry (Rose) Counts, Phillip Counts, Eddie Huddleston, his daughters Linda Brown, Rosemarie Carroll, his 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Jim had a great love for the Lord, his church, his family, and his country. He loved nothing better than to serve those in times of need, he loved working in his garden, and he loved any activity that included using his hands. Jim was a member of First Baptist Church for over 20 years, serving as a Deacon for many years.
