Curtis was a graduate of Richmond High School in Richmond, CA. he later attended Lake Merritt College in Oakland, CA. He pursued his dream as a public servant for the Bay Area Rapid Transit Police Department, where he worked for over twenty (20) years and retired. He also worked as a long shore man in San Francisco, CA and also retired from there.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Margaret Blake; Daughters Vickie Blake of Redwood City, CA, Kimberly Coilton (Ezel Sr) of Stockton, CA; Sons Bufferin McCree (McSery) of Little Rock, AR, Alphonance McCree of Phoenix, AZ, Timothy Patterson (Michelle) of Searcy, AR; Grandsons T’won Blake of Vallejo, CA, Blake Johnson of Hot Springs, AR, Mi’son Coilton, Ezel Coilton Jr, Isaiah Coilton, Michael Coilton, of Stockton, CA, Marcus McCree of Phoenix, AZ; Granddaughters Curtisha Bell of Redwood City, CA, Ebony Blake of Oakland, CA, Jasmine Myers and Elicia Coilton of Stockton, CA, Summer McCree of Phoenix, AZ; Great Grandchildren T’won Blake Jr, TA’Janae and A’nyah Blake of Oakland, CA, Ahnyla, King, Alayna, and Kobe all of Stockton, CA, David and Jalin’ of Houston, TX , and extended family and a host of many friends and acquaintances
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, two sons, and a daughter.

Curtis Nathaniel Blake, A loving, noble, positive soul. Not only was he the world’s greatest father, grandfather, and husband: he was a mentor. An open book full of whatever you may have needed, whether it was motivation, advice, knowledge, or wisdom. He was big on health and prosperity. “Take care of your health”, he would say. “Get you a property”, he would advise. “Call me if you need anything”, he would genuinely say. He walked in his truth, and he was a hero to many.
