Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was her passion and every member of her family felt her love. She never met a stranger and could and would become friends with everyone she met. Eventually, those friends would become family as well. Rose always wanted everyone to feel loved and cared for. Affectionately called “Mama Rose” or “Grandma Rose”, she raised the neighborhood kids like they were her own. Her love for children was evident. She volunteered for the school system. She loved any and all music, especially Gospel music. She was a certified Peer Visitor at the local Amputation Rehabilitation Center. She wanted everyone to feel like they had someone to talk to and someone who cared about them. She had a talent for crocheting and just about everyone has a hat, scarf, or toaster cozy that she made them. She was also a member of The Order of The Eastern Star. Her infectious smile could light up a room, and now that smile makes Heaven a little brighter.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Alva Dedeaux and her sisters, Frances Gladden and Cynthia Dedeaux.
