Victor Morris, 87, was born in Waipahu, Oʻahu, on August 27, 1935. Victor Morris, 87, was born in Waipahu, Oʻahu, on August 27, 1935. He passed peacefully from this life to his heavenly home on December 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.He retired as a Mason Foreman with Allied Construction Inc. for 14 years. He was also a proud and dedicated 56 year member of the Plasterer’s & Cement Masons Union Local 630. Prior to his masonry work, he served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged after 6 years of service.He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Hoʻopiʻi Morris Sr. and Cozy Madeira. Also preceded in death by his loving wife Lily Medina Coltes Morris of 34 years, and his son Brian Keith Morris, who passed at age 5 in 1974.He is survived by his children: Susan Marian (Thomas) Frantz, Michael Danny Morris, and Wendy Theresa (Paul) Maio and also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.He was the 9th of 14 children which consisted of 8 sisters and 5 brothers. His siblings who preceded him in death are: Frank “Braddah” Morris, Sr., Ellen Sanchez, Matilda “Tilly” Garrett, Anita Aloiau, Lucia Kaauwai, Rose “Nena” Lim, Jane Halbuna, Richard Morris, Louis Morris and Sharon Anderson.He is survived by his siblings David Morris Sr., Susie Sennett and Thomas Morris. He was also a member of the United Puerto Rican Association of Hawaiʻi, Lanakila Baptist Church and the National Rifle Association.He was a “Jack of all Trades” and could repair anything, from houses to cars. He was an avid hunter, had a green thumb and could grow all types of plants. He enjoyed fishing and traveling to Las Vegas to gamble (and luck was always on his side). He also raised numerous animals including cows, quails, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, dogs, ducks, pigs etc...Ever the doting Papa, his endless love and help for his children and grandchildren was his main priority. He would always answer the call from family and friends when it came to pouring a concrete slab, sidewalks, walls, and other projects when needed. He had a great sense of humor and was always able to make you laugh.A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Borthwick Mortuary- Maunakea Chapel. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM and service will begin at 11:00 AM. Final visit will proceed from 12:00 PM- 1:30 PM; burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
