A retired Securities Regulator, Kathy loved the time she was able to spend with family and close friends, especially over the past year. Kathy was a graduate of the University of Maryland and worked for the same Regulatory Agency for over 31 years. Kathy loved to travel, having been to 46 states and over 20 countries on 3 continents. She enjoyed fast cars and riding motorcycles. She enjoyed all things Disney, having been to 4 Disney parks in 3 countries and she enjoyed the time she spent at Disney World with each of her nieces and nephews.
Kathy was survived by her husband of 25 years, Kevin M. Campbell, of Honolulu, Hawaii, a sister Deborah Ann Smith (Curtis), sisters-in-law, Wendy M. Hagan (Kevin), Jennifer L. Popescu (Stefan), and Susan M. Harding (Michael). She was survived by 5 nephews, Dustin Riccio (Jen), Adam Popescu (Janessa), Jacob Harding, Andrew Smith, Nicholas Smith, and 2 nieces, Paige Argentieri (Rico), Kathryn (Katie) Campbell, and 1 grandnephew, Cameron Fox. Lastly, she was survived by her “later in life” adopted sister, Charlene (Char) DeMartini (Roger) of McKinney, Texas.
She was predeceased by her mother, Miriam Diane Wildasin, and her father, John Risdon Wintersteen. Cremation and scattering at a later date to be determined; as it was their final wish to swim together off the coast of Hawaii forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue in Wylie, Texas, using the link below, which Kathy loved and supported over the years.
