Karen was born the youngest of six children, born on January 17, 1952 to parents Beatrice and Omer Culbertson in Florida. After graduating from Seton Catholic High School she attended Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Special Education.
In 1976, she took a girls trip to Oahu, Hawaii where she met a local boy who stole her heart and she never left. She was married to Terry Ho on August 21,1976 and went on to have three children Tracy, Nancy and Thomas and four grandchildren Kaila, Grace, Tobias and Elias.
Karen was beautiful both inside and out. Her smile and laughter would light up the whole room. She was a dynamic and passionate soul who selflessly dedicated every moment of her life to her family. She loved photography, traveling, gardening, caring for her poodles and spending time with her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than spending time making memories with her family.
Anyone who knew Karen knew she was a force to be reckoned with because she loved so deeply. That force was driven by her incredible thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity. As a working mother of three, she volunteered in schools, coached and refereed youth soccer and donated and raised funds for many charitable organizations. She made an impact on many lives and she will be forever missed.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and Omar, and her brother William and sisters Gail and Bunny. She is survived by her husband Terry, her three children Tracy, Nancy and Thomas, her four grandchildren Kaila, Grace, Tobias and Elias and her siblings David and Pat.
