Barbara DeCambra grew up in Kailua, HI and attended Roosevelt High School, where she was on the school chorus and graduated valedictorian of her class. She got her Associates Degree in Nursing and had a long and successfully career as a licensed practical nurse in the labor and delivery department at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. She retired after 24 years. She then worked part-time at Costco, Hawaii Kai, as a demonstrator for 14 years.
Barbara DeCambra lived a full and wonderful life; she had the opportunity to travel the world, she went to Philippines, China, and several countries in Europe, Canada, and several states throughout the United States.
Barbara DeCambra was small in stature; with a big heart. She loved to sing, was a dedicated nurse, a loyal friend, and committed in her convictions.
She praised herself by delivering one of her great grandchild Daysha Jean on the side of the road on Pali highway and will be remembered for her annual Christmas grab bag celebration, which all her children looked forward each and every year. She was a debater and always shared her opinion with you whether you wanted to hear it or not.
She will be loved and missed by all, who have been honored to be a part of her life. She is now at peace and is with her husband (Freckles), free of pain, stress, and worldly concerns playing with the angels in heaven.
Until we meet again, ma we love you and will missed you, have fun with dad in heaven.
Bless everyone that came today and all the family thanks you for having been a part of ma’s life.
